Cepas de bacillus thuringiensis con actividad biológica contra meloidogyne incógnita

Resumen

Bacillus thuringiensis (Berliner) es la bacteria entomopatógena más estudiada y extensamente utilizada como agente de control microbiano. El origen de su actividad como nematicida viene dado por el complejo de toxinas que produce durante su crecimiento, principalmente las b-exotoxinas y d-endotoxinas. En este trabajo se evaluó la toxicidad de seis cepas pertenecientes a la colección del INISAV sobre Meloidogyne incognita bajo condiciones in vivo. Los resultados muestran diferentes comportamientos entre las cepas, dado por la reducción de la infectividad de los nematodos. No hubo correspondencia entre el número de ootecas y la cantidad de nódulos presentes en las raíces, a consecuencia de un retardo en el momento de la infestación de los juveniles a las raíces. Las toxinas de B. thuringiensis provocaron efectos nematostáticos y desorientadores bajo las condiciones evaluadas.
