Evaluation of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) in environmental samples from different regions of Cuba
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this work, the determination of pesticides POPs and PCBs in air, soil and sediment samples was carried out with the objective of contributing to the national monitoring plan of POPs and to the global database of concentrations of POPs in environmental matrices as part of the National Plan Implementation of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants in Cuba. The air samples were made with passive air passers (PUFs) and those of soil and sediment were punctual. The results showed the presence of POPs in the environment and detected two hot spots.
