Caracterización e importancia del complejo de hongos que regulan las poblaciones de Toumeyella cubensis (hemiptera: lecanidae) en cítricos
Main Article Content
Abstract
Toumeyella cubensis Heidel and Kohler constitutes a serious problem among Cuban citriculture pests, its affectations have intensified in Ceballos plantations and other citrus enterprises of the country. As part of a systematic searching and determination work on particular natural enemies of this pest, was characterized and evaluated the existence and importance of a fungi complex that regulates this coccid population in the locations of Ceballos in Ciego de Ávila; Ceiba del Agua in La Habana; Troncoso in Pinar del Río and La Coronela in Ciudad de La Habana The results of the morphometric study and the description of Aschersonia simplex Petch., Aschersonia sp. near to marginata Ell. and Ev. Lecanicillium lecanii (Zimmerm.) Zare & Gams, comb. nov., Hirsutella sp. near to coccidiicola Kobayasi and Shimuzu, Hirsutella sp. and Entomophthora lecanii (Zimm) MacLeod and MüllerKögler, new combination, are exposed as well as the observation of other fungi and yeasts in the phase contrast microscope (640x) with drawings in lucid camera and photos of structures with taxonomic interest. Considerations and characteristics of each mycosis and its importance are also offered as well as the entomopathogenic fungi reported for the first time in Cuban mycology.
