Control biológico del tizón temprano (Alternaria solani sorauer) en el cultivo de la papa (Solanum tuberosum l.) en condiciones de campo

Abstract
Early blight caused by Alternaria solani is a common potato disease. Classical control involves the use of both contact and systemic fungicides. However, antagonistic micro organisms have been tested recently as non contaminant alternatives. In that way the efficacy of biological product Gluticid to control potato early blight was assessed in field conditions in a completely randomized block design. The experiment included two doses of the product, the production standard fungicide mancozeb, and a control without any treatment. Biological product, sprayed every seven days at 3.0 kg/ha, achieved a decrease of disease incidence of 39.18% respect to the control with a technical efficacy of 48.82%; this treatment did not differ significantly to contact chemical standard mancozeb (3.0 kg/ha), and this efficacy was followed by Gluticid at 2.5 kg/ha used in the same application intervals. It is proposed to continue studying the effect of this bioproduct in production areas.
