Flora adventicia en una granja integral cafetalera de Guantánamo
Main Article Content
Abstract
A weeds register of different coffee plantations was carried out in Guantánamo province, from February to May of year 2001, in order to determine the weed flora composition of this zone. The area was characterized by 32 species, grouped in 28 genera and 15 families, 44% of them were annual dicotyledoneus or broadleaves. Six types of weeds were defined as: annual dicotyledoneus, perennial dicotyledoneus, annual grasses, perennial grasses, bindweeds and woody species, which appeared also in heterogeneous associations inside the crop ecosystem. A flora adjusted to soils and climatic conditions of the coffee fields was defined, where Paspalum conjugatum Berg, Phyla nodiflora (L.) Greene, Pseudelephantopus spicatus C. F. Baker, Alternanthera tenella Colla, Mikania cordifolia (L. F.) Willd and Petiveria alliacea L. were prevailing species. Results show that weed registers on representative areas, have special interest for the execution of their control in coffee integrated plant protection programs.
