Lista anotada de los termites en Cuba
Main Article Content
Abstract
It is known that termites cause considerable losses to the economy of tropical countries. They are one of the most plentiful groups of arthropods in humid tropics; however few studies referred to this order have been carried out in spite of its significance. This work was carried out from 1997 to 2002 and its principal aim was to provide an actualized list of termite species recorded in the country, as well as new records of hosts and geographic distribution. The forest pathology inventory methodology was used for the work. Ten new geographical records and 27 new records of host are informed as result, and where all the species of termites reported for Cuba are deposited.
