Main Article Content
Abstract
The mites detected in the province of Villa Clara from 1976 to 1998 are given to know in this catalogue. 65 mite species belonging to 13 families and 34 genuses were classified. The hosts, the distribution known in the province and the year of collection also appears. Between then, 6 species constituted new reports for the native mite-fauna (five with phytophagous habits and one depredator). A list of host plants and stored products with the corresponding mites, classified in families is given. There are 22 reports of host plants, new for the country, 51 are species phytophagous of agricultural interest, 12 of them are stored products and 14 are depredators.
