Main Article Content
Abstract
The mites of Acaridae family are found in almost all the habitats, where occur saprophagous, mycophagous and phytophagous habits. There are several species considered pests of crops and stored products In Cuba. However others are not very well-known because they do not constitute phytosanitary problems. Not identified specimens of this family were revised in Cuban Central Laboratory of Plant Quarantine collection. Neotropacarus mumai and Histiogaster arborsignis are reported for the first time as new species for the country.
