La quitosana: potencialidades antimicrobianas contra hongos y Oomycetes
Main Article Content
Abstract
Chitosan is an innocuous and biodegradable polymer obtained from crustaceous exoesqueleton chitin. Chitosan has important antimicrobial properties due to its physic-chemistry characteristics as acetilation de- gree (GA), polimerization degree (GP), pH solution, besides the target organism. A few studies has become against different cellular structures like mycelia or spores. The potential action of the chitosan as pathogen growth inhibitor and as elicitor of defensive response and growth of plants support its widespread introduction in agriculture, although its mode of action are not completed elucidated. The present work is a review of the actual condition of chitosan properties as inhibitor of pathogens microorganisms of Fungi and Chromista Kingdom.
