Presencia de arañas en el cultivo del frijol caupí (Vigna unguiculata sbsp. unguiculata), variedad Trópico 782

Abstract
A study for knowing the spiders species that existed in the cowpea bean (Vigna unguiculata sbsp. unguiculata L. Walp.), variety Trópico 782 was realized in Quivicán region of Mayabeque province, in the period from May to September 2010. The specimens collected during the sampling were conserved in ethanol 85 % till their identification, the objective of this study was recorder the spider presence and composition diversity of in cowpea. Araneidae, Miturgidae, Oxyopidae, Salticidae, Tetragnathidae and Thomisidae were the six spiders families with predatory habits recorded, the genus with major incidence were Argiope, Eustala, Cheiracanthium, Oxyopes, Peucetia, Phidippus, Beata, Leucage, Misumenops and Parastephanops. It was detected the existence of Parastephanops echinatus, Banks, a Cuban endemic specie. These results contribute to the knowledge of spiders composition in the cowpea.
