El insecticida imidacloprid y los hongos Metarhizium anisopliae, Lecanicillium lecanii para el control de Thrips palmi en el cultivo de la papa (Solanum tuberosum)

Abstract
With the objective to evaluate the effect on Thrips palmi Karny population of insecticide imidacloprid only applied to the soil and with foliar treatment with biopesticides Metarhizium anisopliae (Metschn.) and Lecanicillium lecanii (Zimm.) Zare & Gams a field experiment was carried out on potato crop. Results demonstrated that adults population was very variable during the crop cycle so it was not representative for the valuation of the treatments; however soil application of imidacloprid follow of biopesticides showed the best results to reduce nymphs population and was maintained in low infestation level until 68 days after the crop emergency. The use of imidacloprid or biopesticides in independent way were not able to reduce the population of pest for what it was necessary the application of an insecticide to foliate.
