Diagnóstico participativo de la biodiversidad en fincas en transición agroecológica
Main Article Content
Abstract
The biodiversity was evaluated in reconvertion properties in two units of agricultural production in the suburban agriculture of the Havana country: the Unidad Básica de Producción Cooperativa (UBPC) 26 de Julio, in Guanabacoa and the “Granja Monumental”, in Cotorro. The biodiversity was classified in four functional components: productive, auxiliary, associate, introduced. Each component was evaluated by means of indicators (elements, designs and the management that are carried out), it stops later on to identify the observed interactions, the process that was facilitated to achieve the own farmer to carry out the diagnosis in his property, for finally to classify them according to the complexity of the biodiversity. The coefficient of management of the biodiversity in the evaluated properties was bigger for the properties 1229 (54,5 %) and Semilla (50,2 %) that were the only ones above 50 %; on the other hand, the density of interactions of the biodiversity was higher in the property 1241 (98 %), followed by the 1224 (94 %) and the 1231 (87 %), the remaining ones with values around 30-55 %, what demonstrates the tendency toward the integration and diversification of the productive and auxiliary biota. No property succeeded in being complex, 30% was classified of fairly complex and 70 % as low complex. The used methodology demonstrated to be useful so that the farmers carry out the diagnosis and planning the designs and management of the biodiversity in the properties.
