Efectividad del formulado ametoctradin 30 % + dimetomorf 22,5 % para el control del tizón tardío (Phytophthora infestans) en el cultivo de la papa (Solanum tuberosum)
Main Article Content
Abstract
Late blight, caused by Phytophthora infestans (Mont.) de Bary, is the most important disease in potato crop (Solanum tuberosum L.). The use of chemical fungicides, as a fundamental strategy, has become necessary for the disease management; so the search of new active ingredients to be incorporated has great importance. The effectiveness of the for- mulated Ametoctradin 30% + dimetomorf 22.5% under field conditions was evaluated in this work. Blight severity was assessed by determining the leaf area affected before each application. Ametoctradin 30% + di- metomorf 22.5% at a dose of 0.36 + 0.27 kg a.i./ha, showed a severity of 13.47% while potassium phosphite standard chlorothalonil 37.5 % + 25.5 % reached a severity of 21.05%. According to these results, the formulated ametoctradin 30% + dimetomorf 22.5% may be an alternative strategy to incorporate in the control of P. infestans in potato cultivation.
