Acaricide effect on Raoeilla indica Hirst of Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner strain and petroleum oils in laboratory

Abstract
Considering the importance of Raoiella indica (Acari: Tenuipalpidae) as alien invasive species in palms and bananas in Cuba, was evaluated the acaricide effects of the LBt-13 of Bacillus thuringiensis strain and petroleum oils (Aceite Sigatoka 10 L • ha1 and Rocio Spray CE 80-10 L • ha-1) on this mite species, in laboratory. The oil sprays were effective but at dissimilar times: Aceite Sigatoka10 L • ha-1 was efficient from 24 hours and Rocio Spray CE 80-10 L • ha-1 from 48. No effect was observed of the LBt-13 of Bacillus thuringiensis on the tenuipalpid mite and no ovicide effect was observed of any treatment.
