This last technique takes advantage of the migration behavior of the bit to capture it and avoid the colonization of the new fruits that make up the future harvest, however, there is still a gap in the best type of trap, attractant and placement height at the field level and cost, so the aim of this work was to evaluate these factors in field conditions. The work was in the coffee farm “Vegas” in the town of Tuzamapan municipality of Coatepec, Veracruz, Mexico, in an experimental design of blocks completely random with five replicates, considering the factors mentioned. It was determined that the best type of trap was the ETOTRAP for its cost and functionality, the ideal height of trapping was at 1.5 m and that the attractant in liquid presentation was the most efficient, the combination of these parameters is recommended for intensive use in the field.</dc:description>
