Evaluación de Contaminantes Orgánicos Persistentes (COP) en muestras ambientales de diferentes regiones de Cuba Evaluation of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) in environmental samples from different regions of Cuba Romeu Carballo, Armando Rafael Dierksmeier Corcuera, Gonzalo Orta Arrazcaeta, Lissette Lugo Álvarez, Marilyn Batista Córdova, Rafaela Ortiz García, Yuleinis Ferraz Jiménez, Maylin Persistent Organic Compounds (POPs) Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) Stockholm Convention, PUFs Compuestos Orgánicos Persistentes (COP) Bifenilos Policlorados (PCB) Convenio Estocolmo, PUF En este trabajo se realizó la determinación de plaguicidas COP y PCB en muestras de aire, suelo y sedimento con el objetivo de contribuir al plan de monitoreo nacional de COP y a la base de datos global de concentra- ciones de COP en matrices ambientales como parte del Plan Nacional de Implementación del Convenio de Estocolmo sobre Contaminantes Orgánicos Persistentes en Cuba. Las muestras de aire se realizaron con muestreadores pasivos de aire (PUF) y las de suelo y sedimento fueron puntuales. En los resultados se comprobó la presencia de los COP en el ambiente y se detectaron dos puntos calientes. In this work, the determination of pesticides POPs and PCBs in air, soil and sediment samples was carried out with the objective of contributing to the national monitoring plan of POPs and to the global database of concentrations of POPs in environmental matrices as part of the National Plan Implementation of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants in Cuba. The air samples were made with passive air passers (PUFs) and those of soil and sediment were punctual. The results showed the presence of POPs in the environment and detected two hot spots.
