Gundlach, depositada en el Instituto de Ecología y Sistemática, posee un enorme valor científico e histórico. En el presente trabajo se aporta información sobre el volumen y la composición taxonómica de la superfamilia Tenebrionoidea (Coleoptera) presente en esta colección, la cual contiene 170 ejemplares y 80 especies distribuidas en 12 familias. No existen ejemplares depositados en la colección para las familias Melandryidae, Mycteridae, Salpingidae y Aderidae. Se incluyen para algunas especies datos sobre las localidades, fecha de recolecta, hábitats y hospederos. The entomological collection Juan C. Gundlach, deposited at the Institute of Ecology and Systematics has an enormous scientific and historical value. The present paper gives information on the volume and taxonomic composition of the superfamily Tenebrionoidea present in this collection; it contains 170 specimens and 80 species included in 12 families of this superfamily. There are not specimens deposited in this collection for Melandryidae, Mycteridae, Salpingidae and Aderidae families. Data about localities, date of collecting, habitat and host plant are included for some species.
